Within a circle, ‘lā ilāha illā Allāh / ḍarb / Muḥammad / Āmul / rasūl Allāh’ (‘There is no deity but Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. Struck in Amul’ in Arabic); the names of the four Rashidun Caliphs around. Rev. Within a lightly pointed pentagon, ‘ḍuriba fī ayyām / dawla al-sulṭān al-aʿẓam / Abū Saʿīd Bahādur Khān / khallada Allāh mulkahū’ (‘Struck in the days of the state of the Supreme Sultan Abu Saʿid Bahadur Khan. May Allah perpetuate his kingdom’ in Arabic); in the margin, ‘sana – thalāth – ʿishrīn – sabʿa – miʾa’ (‘In the year 723’ in Arabic). Album 2203. A rare mint.
